We will be joined by Rt Hon Francis Maude MP, Minister for the Cabinet Office, as we explore the opportunities on the horizon for the voluntary and community sector. The evening will focus specifically on:
* the localism agenda
* the role of community organisers
Many community groups and local charities are worried about their future and their role within society, 'are we still wanted and how do we fit in?' Francis Maude will respond to some of these fears and clarify future opportunities including discussing how the government plans to work together with the voluntary and community sector in these arenas.
