Church unplugged

Someone else I got to meet at my seminars at the RUN event last week was David Male.

David sat in on my seminar. He's is a Tutor in Pioneer Mission Training at Ridley Hall, Cambridge, while also being Fresh Expressions Adviser for Ely Diocese.

David has a book that is about to come out in July called, 'Church Unplugged'. It draws on his experience as a church planter, and most recently his work in training of ordinands for pioneer ministry.

You can get more info on the book here, and the blurb for it says:

'An guide for anyone wanting to church plant, using the experiences of the Net Church, Huddersfield.

This book gives an essential framework for creating church in the twenty-first century. It is a call to think and work outside the box of recent church in bold and risk-taking ways. Through telling the story of one of the first ‘fresh expressions of church’ in England, the Net in Huddersfield, this book examines the key issues related to a future of mission, evangelism, church and community. It is an honest account which examines not just the ups but also the downs and clearly shows what the church learnt about community and how being community is never easy.'

I'm looking forwarding to getting my copy.
