Slow & Fast

It always seems that I hear and read people talking about the need to live 'slower', who seem to live their life in a coma and could do with speeding up a bit. Then people who live life at a face pace, always talk about the need for action. Maybe things should be the other way, slow people need to speak about speeding up, and fast people need to speak about slowing down.

Anyhow, seeing this video project called 'Slow Dancing' inspired that shallow thought. I wish I could see this exhibition.

The exhibition is 43 large screens with images shot in hi definition, in extreme slow motion, that was produced to show the detail of dancers and compare styles from different styels and cultures. The filming technique involved shooting very fast (1,000 images per second), then the playing back of the image slowly. An example of how fast and slow together reveal something amazing.
