I saw this book a few years ago, and despite the title, it's not about artists, but creativity, and the fears and issues that stop us doing creative things, at every level. Joy Franklin has been taking a group in our community/tribe/church of 25 people having been meeting weekly to work through this together. To say they are finding it life changing would not be an exaggeration. It has also been a place people have invited their friends who aren't christians into, who are now connecting further with our community, and asking questions about christianity.
Book Synopsis Here --------- With the basic principle that creative expression is the natural direction of life, Julia Cameron and Mark Bryan lead you through a comprehensive twelve-week program to recover your creativity from a variety of blocks, including limiting beliefs, fear, self-sabotage, jealousy, guilt, addictions, and other inhibiting forces, replacing them with artistic confidence and productivity.
